The trailer for 50 Shades of Grey has arrived

The wait is over… sort of. On Thursday the full-length trailer for the movie adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey was finally released, as a Facebook exclusive. It's kind of strange to see this much flesh and blindfolds before your second cup of coffee, but the trailer is, no doubt, going to be welcomed by fans of the hugely popular soft-serve BDSM novel:

The trailer suggests a film that's a strange amalgam of The Devil Wears Prada and a high-budget episode of the early 90s CBS classic Silk Stalkings. And it's all set against a breathy, slowed down arrangement of Beyonce's "Crazy in Love."

Of course, the most important debate surrounding the movie is whether Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) is as steamy as author E.L. James wrote him to be. The two-and-a-half minute trailer features (only?) three shirtless scenes. In order to help further the debate, I've created a couple of GIFs. Here's the all important Christian Grey saunter:

And the crucial "this is what Christian Grey looks like when he takes off his shirt":
