Walmart.com's U.S. CEO Joel Anderson Steps Down

Jason Del Rey has been a business journalist for 15 years and has covered Amazon, Walmart, and the e-commerce industry for the last decade. He was a senior correspondent at Vox.

Joel Anderson, the CEO of Walmart’s main online storefront in the U.S., is leaving the retail behemoth for a role at an undisclosed company, according to an email sent out today by Walmart Global eCommerce CEO Neil Ashe. Anderson will be replaced by Fernando Madeira, who will also continue to run Walmart.com operations in Latin America.
