Samsung Finalizes Acquisition of Video Discovery Service Shelby TV

Shelby TV, one of many startups that promised to help video viewers find stuff they like, says it has been acquired by Samsung Electronics, confirming earlier reports from GigaOm. A person familiar with the transaction says Shelby’s New York-based employees will work with the team who used to work for Boxee, the set-top box maker Samsung bought last summer.
