Trailer: Batman's villains are going to be the best part of Fox's Gotham

One of the big challenges for Fox's Gotham, a series set in a pre-Batman Gotham City, is going to be sustaining suspense and interest without the help of the caped crusader. In short: why would people want to watch a Batman show without Batman? The show's answer, a new trailer for the show suggests, is simple: its villains. For example, check out how creepy Poison Ivy looks:

From what we see in the trailer, Gotham is banking on its gritty metropolitan setting (not unlike Christopher Nolan's universe) and the the origin stories of Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Riddler, and a cackling Penguin to carry the show.  Here's the trailer:
