Lyft Drivers Will Get a Personal Insurance Option

The peer-to-peer ride service Lyft provides commercial insurance to limit driver liability, but since its drivers are driving their own personal cars without commercial licenses, many of them were in a bit of a don’t-ask-don’t-tell place with regard to their personal auto insurance. MetLife Auto & Home is now working with Lyft to develop personal insurance policies for its drivers, the companies said today.
