Mild-mannered Comcast* CEO Brian Roberts may not be the most hated man in America, but there’s no denying that people don’t like cable guys.
Even as Roberts pushes regulators to approve his $45 billion deal to acquire Time Warner Cable, federal officials are looking more broadly at whether companies like Comcast already have too much control over Internet lines and need to be reined in with new net neutrality rules. Netflix, in particular, has complained loudly about how Comcast has too much control over Internet connections as the two companies have sparred over how to improve subscribers’ streaming experiences.
