Two months after taking on nearly $26 million in new investment, Oakland-based artisan coffee retailer Blue Bottle has bought Tonx, a Los Angeles-based e-commerce company that sells high-end roasted coffee beans through a subscription program. The Tonx brand will eventually go away, but the team is expected to continue to work on coffee delivery initiatives under the Blue Bottle name. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
