Korea’s LG said Monday that it shipped 12.3 million smartphones last quarter, up 19 percent from a year ago and representing three-quarters of all of its phones sold in Q1. Phone unit revenue of $3.19 billion was up 6 percent from a year ago and profit margins up from the prior quarter.
