Wish Lands $19 Million for Its China-Meets-the-West Shopping App

Wish, one of the highest ranked free shopping apps in the Apple App Store, has raised $19 million in a round led by GGV Capital and Formation 8. Both firms have a presence in both the U.S. and China, which is no coincidence; Wish connects Chinese and other international sellers of inexpensive clothes and accessories with Western buyers who browse the slick, image-centric app to make purchases.
