Roku Sells New $50 Streaming Stick

Roku has introduced a new version of its Streaming Stick, which is designed to help move video from the Web to the TV. Priced at $50, the stick will compete with Google’s $35 Chromecast stick, as well as Apple TV, Roku’s other boxes and whatever TV device Amazon eventually unveils. The company announced earlier this year that it had sold eight million Roku players to date.
