Microsoft Confirms Executive Moves

As reported yesterday by Kara Swisher, Microsoft today confirmed some changes in its executive team. In an email to employees, CEO Satya Nadella said Tony Bates, EVP of business development and evangelism, was leaving the company, to be replaced on an interim basis by Eric Rudder. Chris Capossela will become EVP and chief marketing officer, and the current EVP of marketing, Tami Reller, will be leaving after a transition period. Mark Penn moves to EVP, chief strategy officer, leaving his advertising duties behind.
