That didn’t take long. Less than a year after launch, Twitter is pulling the plug on its music app. In a tweet Friday night, Twitter said that it would remove the app from the iTunes App Store Friday. Current users have until April 18 before the music service dies. Re/code’s Mike Isaac called it last October, noting that despite the app’s initial surge, it quickly fell in rankings on iTunes and lost user interest. “We continue to experiment with new ways to bring you great content based on the music activity we see every day on Twitter,” the company said Friday night.
