Dog-Sitter Marketplace Rover.com Lands $12 Million Investment

Jason Del Rey has been a business journalist for 15 years and has covered Amazon, Walmart, and the e-commerce industry for the last decade. He was a senior correspondent at Vox.

Menlo Ventures has led a $12 million investment in Rover.com, a Seattle-based company whose online market matches pet owners with dog sitters. Existing investors, including Madrona Venture Group and pet-store chain Petco, also participated.
