The U.S. Federal Trade Commission cleared Google’s $3.2 billion acquisition of Nest, granting an early termination to its review of the deal, according to a filing dated Feb. 4. That means neither the FTC nor the Department of Justice will try to stop the deal from going through on antitrust grounds.
