Hulu Sells Japanese Business to Nippon TV

Three years after launching a Japanese operation, Hulu is selling off that business to Nippon TV. In a blog post, Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins didn’t disclose financial details about the deal, but said Hulu would license its brand and technology to Nippon. Hulu, which offers a free and subscription business in the U.S., is increasingly focused on its subscription offering.
