500 Startups Launches AngelList Syndicates, Including Women-Focused Fund

500 Startups, the investing entity run by Dave McClure, is launching a number of syndicates on AngelList, including one aimed at investing in women-led startups. Along with the main 500 Startups Syndicate, the fund is adding the 500 Women Syndicate, allocating $1 million for more than 10 investments — from $250,000 to $500,000 — with at least one woman founder who owns at least 10 percent of the company. 500 Startups said it planned more such co-investing syndicates aimed at other such demographics and geographies.
