Former Google Payments Boss Osama Bedier Joins Board of PayPal Competitor WePay

Osama Bedier, the former head of Google Wallet and longtime PayPal exec, has joined the board of directors of Palo Alto, Calif-based startup WePay. WePay, which has raised more than $30 million in venture capital, creates tools that help online marketplaces and crowd-funding sites accept credit card payments. The company’s competitors include PayPal, Stripe and Balanced.
