BlackBerry's BBM Head Bails

Another executive departure for BlackBerry. The dilapidated smartphone pioneer on Monday confirmed that Andrew Bocking, the executive vice president in charge of its flagship messaging product, BlackBerry Messenger, is leaving the company. The reason for Bocking’s decision isn’t yet clear, but his sudden departure doesn’t bode well for BlackBerry, which hopes to turn BBM into a big revenue generator for the company. With Bocking gone, the BBM team will now be overseen by John Sims, BlackBerry’s head of Global Enterprise Solutions. News of Bocking’s departure was first reported by Boy Genius Report.
