Uber Filing Shows Aiming for $1.8 Billion Round With $40 Billion Valuation

The ride-hailing company Uber filed in Delaware today to raise as much as $1.8 billion and value itself at as much as $40 billion in a new Series E round. Though we’ve been writing about this big Uber round for weeks — and the filing does not guarantee it will be as ginormous as described — this is the first official notice from the company.
