Rob Chandhok, a senior executive at wireless giant Qualcomm, is leaving the company, Re/code has learned.
Chandhok, who was a senior VP at Qualcomm Technologies, helped spearhead Qualcomm’s work around AllSeen, one of several competing efforts to create an Internet-of-things standard. He also worked on Qualcomm’s recent wearable efforts, including the company’s Toq smartwatch.
It’s unclear who will take over Chandhok’s duties. A Qualcomm representative declined to comment.
Others who have left the company this year include Peggy Johnson, a 24-year company veteran, who took a top business development post at Microsoft.
Before joining Qualcomm, Chandhok was chief product officer of SunRocket and spent 10 years as a research computer scientist at Carnegie Mellon University, his alma mater.
