Intel's Newest Basis Watch Now Shares Heart-Rate Data to Other Apps

The $200 Basis Peak health watch, a smartwatch that tracks steps, sleep and heart rate through the wrist, will now wirelessly stream heart-rate data to other fitness apps like Strava, RunKeeper and Endomondo — a feature that wasn’t available when the watch first shipped. Basis, which is owned by Intel, has also said that the new device will show notifications from an iOS or Android smartphone beginning in mid-December.
