Honk Offers On-Demand Roadside Assistance

Launching today in the U.S. is a new service called Honk that helps people hail tow trucks from their phones. Rather than collecting an annual fee like AAA, Honk charges $49 and up for roadside assistance, and promises that its use of location and mobile forms rather than phone calls can get tow trucks to people in need faster. Santa Monica-based Honk raised $1.8 million in seed funding.
