Google Ad Server Failure Takes Down Websites

If the Internet looks a little different today, it’s because a lot of websites are missing one key thing: Ads.

A failure at a Google ad server caused an unknown number of Web sites to fail to correctly load Wednesday morning, possibly costing publishers millions in missed ad revenue.

Websites including CNBC.com, BBC, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and the Financial Times experienced slow loading times, if they would load at all.
