Google Robotics Head Andy Rubin Leaves Company, Kuffner Steps In

Andy Rubin, who headed Google’s robotics effort and was the creator of its Android system, has left the company to start his own incubator, according to a company spokesperson. James Kuffner, a research scientist at Google, will take over the robotics group, the company said. Rubin’s move was earlier reported by the Wall Street Journal.
