Stocks Fall Nearly Three Percent; Dow Dips 450 Points

U.S. stocks resumed a decline after shaving early losses on Wednesday as European markets closed in the red and weak domestic economic data weighed heavily on markets.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 450 points to below 16,000, a level it has not breached since February 14.
