Hearst's Chronicle, SFGate Get New Boss From PopSugar

Peter Kafka covers media and technology, and their intersection, at Vox. Many of his stories can be found in his Kafka on Media newsletter, and he also hosts the Recode Media podcast.

Kristine Shine, formerly the chief revenue officer at Web publisher PopSugar, has left to run the San Francisco Chronicle and for Hearst. Shine fills a vacancy left by Joanne Bradford, who departed after a very short stint for a post at Pinterest. PopSugar founder Brian Sugar says Shine’s role won’t be filled.
