In Open Navigation Tie-Up, Telenav Acquires Skobbler for $23.8 Million

Telenav has acquired navigation app Skobbler as part of a larger push around OpenStreetMap, it said today. The deal was worth $23.8 million in cash and stock. Telenav, which hired OSM founder Steve Coast last year, had been experimenting with using OSM in its own Scout navigation app.
