Digital payments network Dwolla has lost its first two New York hires, Alex Taub and Michael Schonfeld, who are leaving the Iowa-based startup a year and a half after joining to launch a social analytics business called Modern Mast. Taub and Schonfeld are working on tools to help both brands and individuals learn more about the people who follow them on social networks, building off of an app called Most Valuable Follower that the duo originally released two years ago.
