She rocks my world and has done so from day one.
Never had I imagined I would be able to feel this much love for another being, and such a little one on top of that! The love of a mother truly is overwhelming and fascinating. Anyone who knows me will have a hard time imagining this, but, it breaks my heart to see her upset. Every time I see another child take a toy from her, accidentally bump into her, or tease her, I literally want to turn into a lioness to protect and defend her. I can't stand to see her cry. It physically hurts me.
So naturally, I am a very concerned, some call it 'overbearing' mom, and, don't get me wrong, I am fully aware of that.
You know the saying 'Being a mom is like wearing your heart outside your body'? Yea. That's me. That's exactly what it feels like.

This blog was created as a space to vent.. a space to ponder ideas and thoughts and musings. A place where I can freely express my concerns about being a mother who chooses to raise her child without religious imprint; without religious dogma. Because I AM concerned.
About how to be a stronger woman, a better mother, a smarter teacher, and a truer friend to her and how to teach her to be just as strong and able to stand up for what she believes or does not believe.
I am not concerned about how to teach her to be kind and how to be a good person, no. That's easy. I'll teach her to follow her heart and to always treat people like she would like to be treated by them. And I will teach her forgiveness by being a forgiving mom myself.
I will teach her to accept and respect others for who they are and to be curious about everything they have to say.
I firmly believe that every person you meet in your life has something to teach or share with you. We just need to be open (-minded) and have a strong and resilient filter wrapped around our hearts so only the things that don't hurt or harm us can get that far through. I will help Miss L weave that filter no matter how long it'll take us. It'll be my gift to her.
This blog shall help me find the right tools for weaving - within myself.
