I have reached that age where I need to "balance." It seems that happens at ages 30-40 and then somewhere between 50-60 which is where I find myself today. It is a little more complicated than rotating tires but just as necessary.

In the last 8 years I have worked to build an income, a retirement, a legacy that benefits others. The price I have paid is why I write today.

There are many decisions to be made: do we invest in a large location to further the legacy or do we begin the 10 year slow down to "retirement?"

There is a spiritual element and necessity to all of this madness. The physical element has begun to fail.

You see I woke up this morning with a beautiful spouse, a big income, lots of planned trips and the ability to buy or do whatever I want. But, I have no friends and my body is shutting down from stress.

What price do I pay?
