I'm a PROUD stay-at-home mom of 2 boys: Renzi, 4, and Teague, almost 2; and one Chihuahua/Jack Russell pup named Ikey. My husband Duane is my best friend. My family and friends are the world to me.  

I have a BA in English, but I think when my boys are both in school I'd like to finish my art degree. I'm interested in art history, art therapy, or maybe teaching. The only thing that may get in the way of that is my Fibromyalgia. I'm trying to manage it the best I can, but I don't know how I'm going to feel in a few years. I may just try to get a job as a teacher's aide at the school.

I am a very progressive, very liberal person. I believe that you can't go wrong as long as you're loving someone, and that loving someone is far better than hating anyone. We need more love in this world!!! I am really hoping that our next president will be a Democrat. I want Barack Obama to get the nomination, but I'll vote for Hillary if she gets it.

I believe that Jesus' teachings are beautiful & really show us the right way to treat each other. Jesus taught care for the ill, the poor, & the elderly, compassion, tolerance, unconditional love and the value of each person as a child of God. The way I see it, the democratic party embraces those same values. I guess I'm what you might call a progressive Christian. I like the Unitarian Universalist Church & am interested in Kabbalah. 

I also find the teachings of all the world's religions and philosophies inspirational, truthful & valid.

I really don't fit in with a lot of people in this part of the country. I find myself biting my tongue a lot just to get along, & that is so frustrating! I get worked up quite frequently over the ignorance that I encounter from day to day.

But I love my family & couldn't move away from them no matter what, so I'm stuck here! If I didn't want to stick so close to my family, I'd be up north & east somewhere, where there are more people who share my way of thinking.

I care about the situation in Darfur, LGBT equality & rights, the plight of the poor, healthcare, fibromyalgia awareness, depression awareness, animal welfare, and of course advocacy for children & others who cannot speak for themselves. I want to let people know that mental illness is a biological disease, not the fault of the people who suffer w/it. I care about the Special Olympics, the AIDS epidemic, and also about women's/feminist issues. I find it frustrating that I don't have more money to support the causes I care about, so I just try to spread information and try to talk about these issues. I wish I was famous just so I could speak out & get ordinary people to care about others with whom we share the world.
