Hello, world-wide-web. Who is Bella De La Rocher? I am! Pleased to "meet" you (it's a funny experience, this, but one I'm comfortable with, so you should be too. Please do whatever you usually do to relax as you read this "intro".) (Because as a writer, I want my words to sooth you. I might not always go for that effect, but I am now. I won't spring any suprises on you, nothing like that, just going to tell you a bit about myself, likes and dislikes, that sort of thing.) (Oh, and why I'm here, why you are, not in a theological sense though - but that's not to say we can't discuss any of the bigger issues at some stage - I just don't think it's appropriate for an intro - sorry but that's just the way it is.)
I like (maybe I should write this in third person to make it sound like I've got an agent or a manager writing on my behalf... "Bella's favourite colour is pinky grey..." or I could write it as if it's been written by my PA, like a young up-start who idolises me and wants to learn all she can from me, always following me with a notepad and pen, hanging on my every word, stammering a lot, shaking with nerves... No, I've got all that to come when I hit the big time. I need to keep my feet on the ground for the time being, I want to be one of those 'salt-of-the-earth' writers, rustic and moody, being interviewed by the Scottish woman on Newsnight Review and staring her out inbetween questions.)
I'll come back to this intro. I can't seem to concentrate.
