Hi,I'm Erik.

     I'm a guitarist/singer/songwriter. My music I'd say fits into the alternative rock catagory but my influences in music go back to the early sixties, even though this is way before my time, my mums and dads vinyl collection and especially my Dad's(musician) music always drew me in from a very early age, especially with the likes of 'David Bowie's' music. It's always been the rock and roll music that hit me but there were other genres of music I Iiked just as much like soul, folk, ambient, punk, new wave and others. From the age of 7 or so I was learning guitar at school but It never really grasped me the idea of becoming a musician, I was more interested in art(drawing and painting that is), though as I got older I became more and more interested in playing guitar, singing and songwriting and by the age of 20 I had already wrote up to 5 completed songs and practised them untill I knew them off by heart. I was constantly writing more songs and improving my general performance, I began to go to open mic nights and have featured sets in gigs and up untill now at the age of 24, I have 10 finished songs and others I have left aside to work on and I'm recording my material on Garageband(recording software) on my 'Mac' computer at home. I recorded my demo at home which took a lot of time and hard work, but that paid off and It is finally ready. 

    I am very passionate about music, It's there with me every minute of every day, when I lie in bed at night, when I'm excited or when I'm down and depressed, it is a healer aswell as a stimulant if you like, music is my greatest inspiration and passion, It will never let me down. It has been my dream for a long time to perform and performing and recording my music is just what I want to do, I ache to make and perform my music, there is nothing else I would be more enthuesiastic about.
