I’m no David Copperfield…and I’m no Chester Copperpot…and I’m definitely no Oswald Cobblepot. Besides, to explain things from the beginning would take entirely too much time.

I’m employed by the state 40 hours a week, committed to an institution of higher learning 3 hours a week on campus and anywhere from 4 to 40 hours off campus a week, and whatever time I have left over (and sometimes some time that I don’t) is spent with my crew—which at present consists of my Adorable Boy, my best girlfriend A-May, and my other best “girl” friend—His Wesleyness. Other crazy and fabulous people cross my path on a fairly regular basis but these three are the staples. In fact, they’re like the Trinity—which as we all know consists of onions, bell pepper, and celery—which makes all dishes more flavorful.

I hesitate to call myself a “Jack of all trades—master of none” but I have wildly varied interests. Music is my life, I love to read, I enjoy movies and sometimes I even like to cook. I’m fascinated by Mount Everest and aviation, but I couldn’t tell ya much about either. I’m irritated by closed-mindedness and infuriated by stupidity. I have a deviated septum and temporomandibular joint dysfunction. I wake up early enough to have a couple hours to just sit and stare blankly, check my email, and come to grips with another day. I don’t watch the news or read papers.
