While traipsing about the glebe living a life loosely based on goliardic principles I always expected to record the experiences in some written form while I was having them. Notes from the road, picaresque observations, the traveling toper... something of that nature, at least a simple journal. Well it never happened, at least in any cohesive form, and eventually the bill came due. I currently find myself paying it by working at a job that requires time, some energy, and a fair bit of writing, the cumulative effect of which saps most of my tolerence for sitting at a keyboard after hours but requires almost none of the creativity I had planned to devote to the project once I stopped goliarding long enough to write about it. An unexpected dilemma and one that many people probably face these days. Then I stumbled upon this blog multi medium and thought it might provide the perfect venue and impetus to get organized. Available from any computer like a traveling virtual suitcase, audience and critics present but not required, like minded folks to interact with and a chance to see how things look and feel once jotted down. We'll see how it goes.
