TRIP, the acclaimed music-art-film spectacular from Germany

TRIP is a unique film and music project, in which 33 cinema directors interpreted a single musical composition in completely different ways, resulting in 4 spectacular "visual soundtracks." The original sound opus was created by noted artist, musician, and music producer Frank Otto with artist Bernd Köhler-Adams, whose collective imagination spawned years of artistic collaboration and exploration to create a multi-media symphony.

Since its inception, the project has met with acclaim around the world, and has been produced numerous productions in imaginative settings in multiple countries.

Yet the project has not come to New York…until now.

TRIP: NYC will be a series of 5 viral launch parties – one in each borough – from August through October, which will build to a final spectacular performance in Manhattan in November. TRIP will be screened for a new crowd at each location, a mix of local artists and culture vultures who love original, creative events. Each borough will have a TRIP ambassador, who will focus on bringing in the unique flavor of the borough’s community. These five events will highlight the years of artistic collaboration which produced TRIP as well as celebrate the distribution of the TRIP DVD, which has recently been picked up for distribution by Icon Mes Inc. in the U.S.

TRIP: Remix Your Experience gives us an alternate reality to play in: a heady cocktail of images and an intoxicating mix of sounds. The films open windows to our world, showing parallel truths, ethereal landscapes, exposed fantasies, the secrets of the ocean, the possibilities of the planet, and the power of the human experience.
