My name is Vincent. I am an American living in Yokohama, Japan. I was your traditional ex-English Major, wasting his time in a crappy little town in New Jersey. I kinda got sick of the same old streets, the same old lawns, traffic jams and the same damn people always sitting at the same stool at the bar. I decided to start teaching so that I would be able to travel abroad and see some new things. Of course, I miss everybody in the United States, so I made this blog to keep people updated on my adventures. I'll be posting pictures too. I'm even thinking about doing a semiregular podcast. Once I learn more Japanese, I might try to write my blog in both languages for practice. That probably won't be too soon!
I am a pretty strange guy, but you wouldn't know it if you just met me. I am into too many things to name. I like to spend a lot of my time alone. Lord knows though that a simple night out on the town with some friends makes me smile. I am always interested in meeting more friends. I can get along with almost any intelligent person.
I heard somewhere that we are always either teaching or learning, unless we are watching television. well, i don't like the idea of spending my salad days staring at a piece of furniture, so i hope that i can teach and learn all sorts of things from the wonderful people that I meet.
You can contact me at trivett@gmail.com whenever you like. Once I get one, I'll put my phone number up here for all to see as well.
Very happy to see that someone else knows and appreciates this book. I just wish some kind and literate soul... read more
