“We can try to kill all that is native, string it up by its hind legs for all to see, but spirit howls and wildness endures.” Terry Tempest Williams My territory. MINE. Grrrr....... But seriously. I'm Lupa (in case ya haven't figured that out). Currently I describe myself as a twenty-something poly-pansexual genderfluid androgyne pagan/experimental magician (need a few more labels?). Moved to Seattle earlier this year with my mate, Taylor Ellwood (teriel), with whom I share adventures and sorrows alike (but all wounds are healed). I'm a published pagan/occult writer; I've been published in Sagewoman, newWitch, Circle and Konton magazines, and I also contribute essays to Key23 and Witchvox.. My first book, Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic, was published in May 2006 by Immanion Press/Megalithica Books--you can find out more about it on my website. My current project is an introductory overview of the Otherkin subculture; just accepted by Immanion, the title is A Field Guide to Otherkin and it'll be out in March 2007. My partner, Taylor, is also an author; he cowrote Creating Magical Entities, and his independent works include Pop Culture Magick and Space/Time Magic, as well as his forthcoming Inner Alchemy (December, 2006). He is the love of my life, and I wouldn't be nearly as happy without him. I consider myself to be exceptionally fortunate to have this one as my lifemate :) Our current cowritten project is Kink Magic: Sex Magic Beyond Vanilla, which will be out sometime in 2007. You can find out more about our books at our website, which also features a schedule of events where we'll be presenting workshops, signing books, and getting out and meeting people. And Taylor and I maintain the Pagan and Occult Author Resource Page, which Taylor started back in 2004. Basically it's a collection of resources, essays, calls for writers and other things of interest to pagan and occult authors, whether you've got one book or twenty out, or if you're still fleshing out that manuscript. And we're always taking suggestions for resources, and essay contributions. I'm also an artist; I work with everything from bones and fur to beads and bottle caps. I make a lot of magical/ritual tools, and I'm a big fan of recycling objects. You can find my work at this website.
