I'm now in the greatest time of my life .... I thought my teens were the best, then there was my 20's, then my very enjoyable 30's, then my wonderful 40's .... but now I am in my mid 50's and just loving it!!! I was a Homemaker for 34 wonderful years, and then we moved from our wonderful Oxnard coastline to our high desert mountains - 4000' up and loving the clean air and seeing the beautiful nite skies with the gorgeous Milky Way right over my head. God was such a wonderful Creator!!! I met my husband, Rich, at our Church in Oxnard, CA., in 1967 - where I was borne & raised. We married in 1969 and in Jan. 1970 went to Bible College, then moved back to Oxnard and started into construction building homes & remodeling. Rich & I loved the coastal weather and living in Oxnard (Ventura Co.) where we lived and raised our family - until 2003. We have two wonderful children that the Lord sweetly blessed Rich&I with!!! ; ) Amy is our lovely daughter, 35 yrs. old. She's a wonderful Mom of two of the sweetest grandkids that we could ever be blessed with ... Lexi - 12 (nearly 13 ... %@) & Brand - 11. Amy was a manager for a restaurant for 8 years, then decided to go into office work, she really enjoys working with numbers, she loves working with/for people, and is doing very well now. When we lived in Oxnard I babysat Lexi & Brand for 8 wonderful years, and they and their Mom are such a joy to our lives. Amy is my dearest girlfriend, and she has been such a strength to my life!!! Love you all so much!!! When Amy was 11 yrs. old when our family was filled with surprise and joy to find out that the Lord was blessing all of our lives with another "little one", and we were all excited to welcome John to be a lot of love and laughter into each of our lives! Am & John were and are great friends to this day. John is now nearly 23 and going back to college the first of next year, and he plans to finish college and go on into Bible College to become a professor in Theology. We are very excited for him. He loves writing, music, and computers, hiking, camping, biking, .... and you put him to the challenge and he goes for it ~~~ well most of the time! lol I work for my husband as secretary in our kitchen cabinetry store, and love being one to serve those who come in, and making sure when they leave that they leave with a smile! That is a real joy to me. Our first two years here, I worked as a teacher's aide for our district's 5 schools K-12th. I often worked with Special Needs classes, and loved the students/teachers that I worked with, that really brought fulfillment to my life! I worked in our kids schools doing volunteer work for 25 years, and was active on the PFO Boards for many of those years. I was active with our Ventura Missionary Celebration Choir for 25 years, and miss my wonderful Choir director, Mike, and our Choir Family. They were a dear "family" that will forever be a part of my life!!! We did many musicals together, we knew that when we asked one another to pray, that Heaven would hear their hearts!!! I just wish I could have brought them and all of my wonderful friends with me when we moved, but now we have to keep in touch a little more differently! I was also active in our Community Choir there, as I have been here since we came. I am also active with our Church ladies choir here, and another Church choir with some friends @ Christmas. Music is one of the joys of my life! I will probably work with my husband until we hopefully retire in 10 years. ***You may visit our website @: www.theoaksknb.com .*** I love blogging, and I hope to meet some wonderful folks in the areas which I am interested, which is Christianity, Family, Crafts, Cooking/Baking. Is there anything too hard for me?" Absolutely NOTHING is too hard for our Father God!!! God Bless, NomiAnn
