these days, location don't mean sheeeit. the advent of computers and new media system have spawned an entirely new way to connect people and places. i blog to connect and communicate, exchange and share information, and ultimately make my physical life (and location) an experience for you, dear reader. if you're very observant, you might notice i don't live in la (yet). i am, however, a native californian. and to everyone outside of california, los angeles is the only reference point for the entire state - "oh, you're from cali? wherabouts? los angeles?" (sometimes san francisco is mentioned, but not as often as you'd think). "like la" therefore makes light of this situation not only as a metaphorical title, but also as an advertisement of my urban life experience as one comparable to la's. because everyone is someone - yeah - everyone is someone in el-ay. but i don't live there. get it? (still not sure why i try to explain these things).
