Some little tidbits about me: I'm a 25-year-old bi-poly-kinky pagan dyke. I'm also fairly political. I'm a big proponent of "my journal, my rules." If you can't handle that, you probably shouldn't read my journal. I've graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004. I received my Bachelor of Art degree in Religious Studies, with an emphasis in both South Asia and Religions of the Americas, and Women's Studies. After graduating, I moved to Washington--the Tacoma area--to participate in AmeriCorps. I served my first year of AmeriCorps as a tutor in the Washington Reading Corps at a K-5 elementary school. Currently, I'm serving my second year as a ReadyCorps/VISTA with TRiO/Educational Talent Search, assisting high school students with post-high-school educational and career opportunities. I love my "work." I'll be doing a third year of AmeriCorps and after that, I'll be applying for graduate school at the University of Washington to get my Masters in Teaching. I'm spending my time right now figuring out if I'm going to teach elementary school or high school. I also plan to attend a midwifery program to get certification to be a midwife. My life has it's ups and downs and I record most of it in my journal.
