I grew up in Colorado, went to college in Minnesota, and haven't yet been able to bring myself to permanently move away (which is unfortunate, because the weather here really sucks). Since I graduated from college in 2004, I've done some working of random jobs, and some traveling and living abroad. Now I'm back, working as an AmeriCorps volunteer in a Minneapolis high school. Grad school and additional travel and living abroad are probably in my future. I haven't quite sorted out what I want to do with my life yet, but I'm relatively certain that it won't involve a 9-to-5 job I don't like and a heavily-mortgaged house in the suburbs. I want to live simply, doing something I love and being surrounded by people I love. I don't ever want to be tied down by all the things I own and all the money I owe on them. I'm very happy with who I am, where I am, and what I do, which is possibly my biggest accomplishment to date.
