I'm watching a wonderful documentary on BBC4 about the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald. I was brought up on her music and Sinatra, Dave Brubeck, MJQ. My Dad had discovered jazz on the American Forces radio when he was in the RAF in Iraq in WW2. I saw her in London, must have been 63 or 4
