This was our first married Independence Day. I had hoped for more. When I was a kid, every 4th of July was spent at aunts and uncles homes, with homemade ice cream and fresh peach pie, sparklers and big booms. I was the baby, and loved it until every else lost interest, and the tradition ceased....
