Loathing:

MotherHen has officially resigned and will not be coming back from leave. I'm pretty sad today - partly because she was one of the best lawyers we've ever had, partly because they are almost certainly going to replace her with an idiot, and mostly because she was my best friend in this office, and I feel like I am gradually losing all my work friends.
Neck pain. Blergh. Am a leedle bit sore all over thanks to BodyPump today, but mostly I think the neck pain is due to the fact that my computer monitor has been broken for two weeks, so I'm just on the laptop at work and it is doing only bad things to my posture.
That I find OfficeMate so annoying. I don't like feeling this way - I spend all day finding him annoying and hating myself for finding him annoying when fundamentally he's an okay guy.

Loving:

The Mountain Goats (above). Have decided to take a new approach with my work music and to focus on albums instead of play lists. I think it will help me 'flow' and not feel so disrupted at work. Last night I was scanning through my iTunes and re-discovered a bunch of albums I haven't listened to in ages, including all the stuff I have of the Mountain Goats. I love 're-discovering' bands... makes my music collection feel a bit like new.
Also helping me be not so disrupted is the fact that OfficeMate is away for a whole two days! I am alone in my office... well, theoretically, Raisin is also here, but she interacts with me so little that it is like being alone. I also got into work earlyish this morning so that I could get most of my vox-ing out of the way before I am actually meant to be working, because I need to take an actual lunch break today instead of using the internet while eating at my desk. I'm finally getting prescription glasses... hurrah! Hopefully I can get them before I leave G-town for my various travels next week.
Going to Sydney... for work! Have a three day training course. I was going to try and build in a jaunt to Melbourne for a few days, but I've decided that I really can't afford it, thanks to my car rego and the speeding fine all being due. I might consider my bank balance after this round of payments... plus I guess I have a credit card for a reason.
Cross-stitch. Have been thinking of whether it would be possible to cross stitch on the flight to Sydney, but have realised that they almost definitely won't let me on with a needle and scissors. Damn bloody security.
Had a three hour vent session to a work friend on the phone last night, and not just about work and it has made me feel so much better... I vented about the BFF which I feel a bit guilty about because BFF is a mutual friend, but I'm getting worried and I needed to tell someone who is in the same city as her and cares about her. I want to make sure that there is someone looking out for BFF because I think she is not looking after herself and is starting to cut herself off from her friends.
Elbow pasta with homemade bolognese sauce, mozzarella, parmesan and spinach. Nom nom nom.
