got shoes, will not run... yet

I got meself running shoes (yay). this time my indecisiveness didn't get the better of me choosing one was easier than I tot. adidas, 1 choice, reebok plenty of choices but got no size. My shoes size increment resulted from pregnancy is here to stay. I should have known.

Running shoes has evolved drastically since my last one.. (shamefully 10yrs ago :p ) Incredibly light and airy. I wouldn't mind wearing them to bed. Heck if i dun love heels/leather shoes too much I'd wear them everywhere.

One problem solved.. I got the shoes but blardy where am I gonna run. I've waited the whole day for the delivery just to find out from the lady that the equipment just made it to the warehouse and I have to wait for dunno how long. I thot the service was gonna be better. Afterall.. we were their first customer. Their, being fitness concept that has just opened last Friday in Kinta City. Some great customer service they have. Didn't even have the courtesy to call re: the delay. Sheesh...

「靴はとびっきりいいものをはくの。その靴がいい所に連れて行ってくれるのよ」
　
　…と静さん（花より男子）が言ってたから…というわけではないけれど、靴はちょっと贅沢してます。大足だからサイズがなかなかみつからないというのもあるし、何よりも履き心地の悪い靴で一日過ごすのは最悪だからです。
　150円のネックレスやら300円のブレスレットやらつけてるし、1900円のヨーカドー女優帽かぶったりするし、9ドルのシャツ着てたりもするけど、ハイヒールだけはアウトレット価格で10000円以上（実売価格25000円～30000円くらい）をはいてます。

　スニーカーを履くことももちろんあります。最近はきゃしゃな感じのものや、女の子っぽいものが好きなので、ソールが薄くて軽いものを。Nikeの White x Goldのクラシックランニングシューズとか、Pastryの色使いの綺麗なものや、最近はNew Balanceもかわいいなって思います。
　夏はFlipflopがスニーカーの代わりに活躍しますが、今年はFitflop。脚が細くなってるかは激しく謎ですが、とりあえず、これをはいてると正しいところに体の重心が乗ります。

　とまあダラダラ書いてますが、自分の靴と同じくらい…もしかしたらそれ以上気になるのが男の子の靴。100%見ます。絶対見ます。顔をちゃんとみる前に見てることもよくあります。
　Ghettoって言われようがなんだろうが、汚い靴なんてありえない。そんなの履いてる男子とは靴を脱ぐようなことには絶対にならないね。まちがいない。
　服の色とKicksの色が合ってないとかもどうなのって思います。とにかく、JordanでもTimsでもadidasでもなんでも、靴は新品みたいにぴっかぴかじゃないと♪
　もうNellyなんてJordan大好きすぎて、歌までつくっちゃってるし（笑）Nellyみたいにiceジャラジャラ首からかけなくていいから、靴だけは綺麗にして！って、よく思います。

　そういえば、私の好きになった男の子は、必ず脱いだ後の靴と、私の爪先をみてました。やっぱり、綺麗な靴と綺麗な爪はいいところに連れてってくれるのかな♪

I'd been looking forward to this weekend's ride for a while, and not just because of my sweet new shoes. I'm currently in the middle of training for my ninth century ride, and while I am reluctant to say the drill has become routine, none - at this point - of our Saturday rides are new to me. The last time I ventured out to a locale I'd never experienced before by bicycle was 2006. And that's fine; I sure do enjoy most of the rides on the schedule. But then, some say variety is the spice of life. It was that adventurous spirit that had me so eagerly anticipating the new terrain.

Bryantown, Maryland is down near Waldorf (home of Dabysan's favorite band: Good Charlotte), and truth be told, I've been there once before. I drove a support car for last year's Seagull Team when they did this ride. But driving the course in a car is hardly the same as being on a bike. I could tell you the topography of every inch of most of our rides - even those I've only done a couple of times. But driving the course is different. I remember this ride being mostly flat. It wasn't. And some of those hills were doozies. I did, though, remember the small enclave of Amish farms that lend the ride its name.

And so I have a small confession to make: Maryland rides are way, way better than Virginia rides. Like vitually everywhere else, Virginia and Maryland are engaged in a small local rivalry. I settled in Virginia long ago, and I'm not sure what it would now take to convince me to relocate to Maryland. DC, sure - I could see that. But there's no way in hell I would move to Maryland, and I don't really know why. I mean, I work in Maryland, and I commute over an hour each way to get there. And this isn't one of those rational rivalries, like Michigan and Ohio, where Michigan - or in this case, Virginia - is so vastly superior that taking the opposite side is madness. They're pretty much the the same. Except that Virginia rules and Maryland drools. QED. So it's a little alarming to me to realize that, given the choice, I'd opt for Bryantown over, say, Gainesville or Middleburg. Bryantown doesn't even have pie. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I can get there in half an hour. Or maybe it has something to do with the motorists in Gainesville and Middleburg being total assholes.

Anyway, it was a pretty great ride all in all. The temperate weather was a welcome respite from the typical cauldron that is DC in August, and I pushed myself more than I have in some time - finishing my fifty miles in just under three and a half hours. That puts my full century pace at just under seven hours (assuming I could maintain that pace for another fifty miles, which I can't), which means I am finally beginning to approach that goal I set for myself a year ago. On the way home, I saw a sign for the Doctor Mudd House (the very same Doctor Mudd who set John Wilkes Booth's broken leg) so I took a short detour. It cost five bucks to get in, and I figured my chances of meeting Sarah Vowell were slim, so I took a picture and drove on home.

maybe I should consider walking shoes instead.. considering my faltering stamina these days...

Shoe shopping with a 11 yr old

My oldest daughter is back home from her friend sleep over,slumber party she suppose to stayed for 2 weeks but instead she came home in 5 days.. lol she was more worried about school shoes shopping which she is continuously changing her little mind about. My daughter is a price checking child already at the age of 11 lol she thinks 30 dollars for shoes is high but, in her mother mind i'm praying for $30 no more than $70 bucks for shoes. Why, because actually my daughter shoe prices are ranged $70 and up she is only 11yrs old but wears a 9 and a half shoe in women! to remind you all i'm just in a 7 to a 7 and a half shoe if i want to get a pair of nike shoes i run to kids footlocker for a cheaper price lol my oldest daughter can't do that because kids shoes stop at size 7.Yes, i'm so out of luck when it's time to spend on shoes for my oldest daughter. My oldest daughter is gifted and she even smart in shopping which is surprising to me i just didn't think prices have anything to do with kids thinking so soon guess it's a good thing so far she just want some converse she not a nike fan at all and she don't like what most people like anyways she remains herself i must pat myself because that's mom trait all the way! last year she picked up some puma's.
I really don't see many kids wearing those anymore but i sure remember wearing those shoes as a kid! lol
I told my daughter she can get two pair of shoes if she want those converse because the ones she want are 30 bucks! so tommorrow she will pick out the color she want!

i almost died on the spot the colors was screaming at me and she didn't want to change her mind so we stayed in this store a hour looking at all sort of shoes and my 8 yr old still kept these weird shoes so i end up buying some shoes that won't match her uniforms the only set of school uniforms it will match is her khaki colors.

Not only that my 4 yr old is a pink fanatic so she run down her aisle and grab some nike prestige shoes which is cute i admit because the grey brought those out alot.
So yes, i ran out this store fast.. lol.

No, sadly, I didn't leave with them (permanent sad lil mama face) but behold, they were on. my. feet. For one solid and sweet minute, there they were. A little big but so very orgasmic. I can't explain the experience. Excuse my skinny ankles and Ro's bad lighting but I had to share the bittersweet moment.

I tried on the Ron Ron's, the Very Croise, the Jolie Noeud Dorcet that I was much more than tempted to run out of the store in, and all the Simple Kids to my heart's content. I am now on an irreversible fancy crap high.

i woke up and found out that i have a zit under my nose bcos of all the stress im having right now. props laa assignment laa backdrop laa blablabla toing naik jerawat. tensen aku. so being me, i think i need to reward myself for working hard these few days. so i bought three pair of shoes. ahahahahaha. by now you must think "ah girls will be girls" eh but i just love to shop. it takes my mind off things that i dont like to worry about.

oh and i bought twilight as well. haha im not a reader, really. but i actually like to read it's just that.. i tend to spend my money on clothes and shoes and bags instead of books T_T haha not a good habit, i know. ahahahaha

Old Shoes and Industrial Accidents

My friend Brit is amazingly matter-of-fact. If she's your friend, she will literally hand you the shirt off her back without you even having to ask for it. However, if you tick her off then you'd better watch your back. She does not take crap off of anyone under any circumstances. That being said, I probably don't even have to tell you that she's not really happy with my husband right now.

This past weekend was our annual 'Big Girls Only Slumber Party' - no kids, no husbands, no bosses. Most of our girls ditched us this year, but Ken and Brit were here and, of course, we were discussing the 'State of the Dissolving Union'. Brit looked at me and in a flash of brilliance said, "Oh, don't worry about him. He's just an old pair of shoes." When I asked her what she meant by that, this is what she said:

"You know when you're out shopping and you find this fabulous pair of shoes? The ones that make your legs look great but are actually comfortable and seem to go with everything in your closet? Well, after a while they get scuffed and need to be resoled, and you notice that they pinch your toes now. So, you give them away...and maybe someone else sees them and thinks, 'Hey, with a little polish those could be good-looking shoes.' They try them on, maybe even wear them for a little while, but eventually they decide the shoes need more than just some polish to look good, and they drop them off at Goodwill. Well, Walker is that pair of shoes."

I have to admit, I laughed. Alot.

My laughter was, however, short-lived. Yesterday I was at my grandparents house filling them in on what was going on, and needless to say they just aren't really very happy either. My cell phone rang and I saw that it was Walker. I thought it was weird for him to be calling since I didn't have the kids and neither did he, so I decided to answer it. He sounded tired when he said, "I don't know why I'm even calling to tell you this, but I don't want you to hear it from the kids or Mom and Dad." Great, I thought, he's finally 'fessing up to having a girlfriend. I really didn't need this. He continued, "The wench line snapped at work today and took off part of my finger. I'm having emergency surgery to fix it." My heart pretty much stopped. I asked him where he was but he wouldn't tell me which hospital he was in. I reminded him that I'm still his wife but he wouldn't budge, and I was really surprised at how badly it hurt me to realize that he really must not want anything to do with me if he doesn't even want me there when he's having surgery.

His parents did call this morning to tell me that he was out of surgery and doing fine, for which I was very grateful.

But it still smarts.

Now they are back but on a heel...Its a must have! A sophitsticated shoe that is traditional and classy. Its a perfect treat to all divas and they go with just about anything. Any diva would agree that these shoes are making a come back with a twist.
