train mahalo is about exercise, outdoors, and fun. Since moving from New York City to Los Angeles in the Summer of 2008, I've dedicating myself to working people out the way that I love - using kettlebells and body weight exercises outside. Usually we're barefoot with our toes in the grass the whole time!
I train clients from Los Feliz to Santa Monica and everywhere in between. It's been so amazing. I tell everyone how I would never be able to appreciate what I do - what I have - if I didn't live in New York for almost 7 years. I love New York. It's where I began as a trainer, where I met amazing people and got the opportunity to run marathons, do triathlons, and climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. I got to work with some of the best in the business at Casa Specialized Fitness, and most recently, Peak Performance. I have had articles appear in AM New York, Oomph.net, and Today's Diet + Nutrition. Look for another article in December in L.A.'s GenLux magazine.
Though I love writing and sharing my "exercise is not punishment" philosophy in print, I get simply giddy when I get to teach someone a new skill, a new exercise, and or a new thought process to keep them healthier and happier.

We would like to thank all who came out to support us on our FIRST major headlining tour and those who still plan to! This has been our greatest tour to date! Almost wrapped up Canada, one show left. Last night Ed and I got buckwild and decided to do up Astroburger and a movie.
I really want to see Nick and Nora. Hate me, it's fine. I hate me, too. Point is: Ed got out of work too late for us to go and so we wound up seeing this movie:
OK, so anyone who knows me can tell you that this more or less had the perfect set up for me: Biodrama about tranny prostitutes, one who meets her dream man over the internet and moves to New York to be with him. That's an ideal movie situation for me, but between the shitty cheeseburger (it was off-the-charts disappointing) and the crazed time traveling people from the 80s who were sitting in front of us, Ed and I were fucking TRIPPING. Not on acid, but the actual situation. And topped with the odd movie and the extremely long and awkward interaction with the ticket people in the lobby, it was too much. We had to leave! I left a $10 movie in 2008! I couldn't believe it either!
One real good thing though: This actor Stefan C. Schaefer. He's going to be a really big star. His delivery throughout the film was honestly some of the best acting I have ever seen. And I'm a real cunt about that stuff, if you want me to get articulate about it. I just noticed he was born in Boston, so I guess that means he's probably a good person, too. Look out for that guy.

Slim K was invited as well to attend the MTV Video Music Awards Pre-Party,
last Friday (September 5th, 2008) at BOULEVARD 3 in Hollywood.
It surprises me that O. J.: the Untold Story, the BBC documentary about the likely murderer of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, has never aired in the US, though it has aired in other nations.
I am no fan of O. J. Simpson (admittedly he was good in Capricorn One) and there was a lot that emerged in the 1995 trial that showed the guy was a slimeball.
The latest Las Vegas incident shows a man who has flouted the law so many times for other acts that he has become arrogant and callous.
However, the documentary convinced me that Jason Simpson was the real killer, as I have said on this blog before.
Perceptions are very different among different groups of people. The majority of white Americans thought O. J. was guilty. The majority of black Americans thought O. J. was innocent.

New clues in OJ Simpson murder mystery

Dr Henry Lee, one of the world’s most respected forensic scientists, states … that the crime scene was “out of control”, was contaminated and that the police had destroyed so much at the murder scene that it was impossible to reconstruct what happened that night.
Dr Lee also reveals that the police failed to take crucial blood samples from Nicole’s back which might have helped solve the case.

It is their view that the evidence was seriously compromised and would have been rejected by the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service.
Potential new suspect
The film also explores new areas, which have not been fully investigated by the authorities. It features private investigator Bill Dear and follows his enquiries into Jason, Simpson’s son from his first marriage …

The programme examines the evidence that shows that six months before her murder, Nicole was put under surveillance.
A man called Bill Wasz, who he says, had supplied cocaine to Simpson, Nicole and friends, had been hired by one of Simpson’s friends to follow her and take photographs of Nicole with any man she might meet.
He recorded his surveillance in a notebook. In an interview from prison, where he is currently serving a jail term for armed robbery, Wasz explained that 10 days after handing over the photographs, he had been asked by Simpson's same friend to a meeting for a new assignment.
At that meeting, Wasz says, Simpson’s friend then hired him as a hitman to kill Nicole.
Police ignored ‘hitman’ claims
The programme reveals that the police were made aware of Wasz’s story just a few weeks after the murders and … the prosecution decided to dismiss it.…
However, the programme also goes on to show that four years later, the Wasz story was re-investigated again. The police and the District Attorney’s office accepted that the notebook was genuine and that Wasz had been telling the truth.However, after further investigation, the District Attorney’s office dismissed the matter once more, despite promising leads that pointed to a possible plot to kill Nicole …
Friday night I was in a flip cup tourney hosted by an old college pal. My team consisted of most of my regulars: Ed, Alexis, Ben and Jordan. We were the orange team, and when matching prison issues proved to be too costly, we bought a bunch of plastic table cloths at Target and got creative.
Since coming here (LA) three months ago, I've lived in the slums of Beverly Hills (technically right outside of Beverly Hills), then I stayed in Korea Town, then I spent a few nights in the VALLEY (Studio City), went near the Miracle Mile, and now I'm back in Korea Town. I got a pretty good crash course in Los Angeles geography. The buses and trains aren't that bad here. They're cheap and pretty easy to use. The only problem is you can't really expect to get anywhere fast. But that's alright.
When I lived here as a teenager, I was in the San Gabriel Valley area. Everyone was Taiwanese or Chinese American, and it felt like we were miles from anything. That's probably because we were. So I appreciate the education. Also, I really was living in outer space the whole time, so I would actually say this was the first time I really lived here.
Here's me in the pricey (for me) hotel I stayed in for two nights. What a Jewish and Japanese looking face I have.
And here's me in the cheap Korea Town hostel room I just moved into. I like it!
