Today marks my baby sister's birthday. She is 22 and coming over here in a little while for a birthday photoshoot. (there is nothing that girl loves more than a camera faced her direction check out her blog but remember, she does not know I have mine, so don't tell her, I don't want to edit myself here, this be my space) I still have not got her anything, and will probably just shove some cash in a card for her gift tonight. It is her Party. Which means I miss the debate tonight.

Here is my schedule for the day:
*Sister comes over at 10
*photo shoot for a couple hours I assume
*Make dinner and let it cool in fridge
* make sister a card from one of the pictures I took this afternoon
*husband runs in front door at 5:10 changes clothes for Yoga and we rush out the door to class by 5:33 (we are late)
*leave yoga already half hour late to party
*grab dinner and head up to sister's house
*heat soup up at sisters house and chat with family for a little bit
*have cake, eat it too
*head home and try to sleep after hectic evening of rushing around

I took these pictures yesterday before it started raining. I just grabbed a few whimsical items and headed for my damp grass.

My head is spinning. There are soooo many things to do. I have this list, and things shift from the top to the bottom, but these things keep getting added at the top! How will I ever accomplish ANYTHING?

Books books books books books.

So, I decided to make a pile of books to be read. All of them I culled from the bookshelf of books to be read. There are, to be honest, an awful lot of them. So I figured it might be good to make a pile, to narrow it down a bit and get in some of the books I've been looking forward to. Or something. I was going to keep it to ten, but that didn't work.

Maybe I just wanted to be able to publish a list on here. *shrug*

*I actually have the whole rest of this series to read. I'm currently working on Club Dead. I was kinda thinking that between each of the other books, I'd throw in another of these. They're fun, but I don't want to OD on them.

As you can see, I don't have the most highbrow or literary taste in books. Oh well.

weekend madness part II

judging how it's already 3pm, i probably won't get everything done today. which works out well - my dad just passed markham fair the line-up getting in, let alone the line-ups for the ride, is apparently ridiculous. not worth it considering i won't have fun knowing how much i need to get done.

we'll probably just go to the zoo for a little walk and to see the changing colours of the leaves.

okay... break is over. back to work!

Things to Do

The new session for storytimes started today. During my first storytime at 10 I had about 50 people in the room at one time, half of them being noisy, excitable children. I'm glad how well it turned out, and the large crowd effectively squashed any first day jitters I might have had. The second had six people. We'll see if it balances out more next week.

There are a few things that I'd like to get done, if not now then eventually. I haven't written a post like this in a while, so let's make a list.

-Start using my calendar more. For everything. I found out that my bank's website lets you set up a payment schedual for your credit card. I think if I use that it will be a lot more effective than my usual practice of putting a bunch of money on the card whenever I get paid.

-Work out at the rec center. I've been walking again, which is great. It's just not always convenient since it probably won't cool down much until late November. At the very least after the past couple excursions I no longer thing it would be asking much to walk to the rec center.

-Make something with Movable Type. Not sure what, but I'd like to try it out.

-Measure the entire house and fill it with virtual furniture from Ikea. Just for fun.

-Figure out what to get Caprice for her birthday. That's my #1 priority right now. It has to be of equal or greater coolness to the Skullcandy headphones she got me.

Ir à loja da Virgin para iniciar o meu contrato para ter broadband em casa, no meu quarto.

Meeting com os meus supervisores do meu primeiro mini-projecto para estes meses. Nanopartículas, cá vou eu!

Comprar um estendal para estender a minha roupa. (wow!)

Passar a ferro.

E também é hoje que vou cozinhar para a Teresa, para ela experimentar os tortellini que temos de ham&cheese.

Bom, e agora lá vou eu ali para a casa-de-banho. :)

Amanhã, é dia de Targeted Therapeutics induction day. Ou seja, das 10am-4pm estarei enfiada numa sala com uns doutores para me ensinarem o que eu preciso de saber sobre isto! :)
