Pink Dagger Necklace

The new Pink Daggers Necklace is available on etsy. Each ring was opened and closed one at a time by me, and the crystals are genuine Swarovski. It's 15 inches long, so it will fit like a choker on most women.

In other news, the Craft Attack! craft show in Charlotte, NC is just one week away! I'll be making the 7 hour drive there from Tennessee, and I'd love it if I could meet some of you all. So if you're in the area, make sure to come out October 11th, from 9:30 - 5:00 at Independence Park. Here's the website with more information.

Bugle bead crazy.....

I inherited about 8 pounds of quality Toho bugle beads from a class student of mine who didn't realize what they were ordering from a bulk buy at Fire Mountain Gems. A Piece a Day

I have decided to list a new piece of jewelry a day in my Etsy shop: http://basilthecat.etsy.com until December 31st. Here is my first entry. A beautiful handmade vintage terracotta necklace. I've never seen such a unique necklace before. The earthy texture is amazing and it's so versatile. I think it would look amazing peeking out from a crisp white blouse paired with jeans.

Well, I could just use the excuse that I am a dog and my memory isn't as sharp as you humans... But, what good are excuses? The good news is that I am starting up my regular Etsy Tuesday series again! Yippie! I adore Etsy and there are so many great pet products on the site, that I just about can't control my doggie self.

Suitable for Weddings

I've never been married, but if I were to get married you know I'd be wearing some of my jewelry down the aisle. I've recently created a line of jewelry that would be great for weddings. The items in the pictures to the right are intended to be bridal jewelry, but crystals and pearls can be exchanged for different colors of crystal for bridesmaids, or just for every day wear.

New Drip Bracelet

Drip Bracelet

This is the latest bracelet to be added to the Red Panda line. It's my own unique chainmaille weave, with genuine Swarovski crystals. I wove each of the rings (as I do with all my designs) one at a time by hand. I think it looks great!

My Take on the J Crew Bubble Necklace

What started out as an Alchemy request on Etsy for a JCrew Bubble Necklace has turned into these beautiful necklaces that I have created (if I do say so myself). I have been making them in turquoise, onyx, and coral in both silver and gold. The above picture is from a custom request I did for 3 necklaces. I'm also quite impressed with my Picassa2 skills at making such a lovely picture collage :)

Way too expensive for me

Hubby's cousin email me a nice catalog to see. I saw this very nice necklace but I didn't want to buy it because there's T&C. You need to buy the skincare that cost $690 and add $20 to buy the necklace. I would consider about it if it cost less than $300. But the cost is $690 which is way too expensive for me.

I could buy a half month of groceries with that money. I really like the necklace but think again. You know I seldom wear necklace so best I just pretend I never see it. It's not worth to buy if I am not going to use it. Just buy what you need and that's it!

Some good news!

I don't have much time to post but I wanted to share the good news!

I'm engaged!

Adam asked me last night. It was quite sweet for him actually. He is very romantic but still blushes when he does romantic or sweet things for me.

He came over last night unannounced. He had his head down and his hands behind his back. Well being a girl that lives alone most of the time I wasn't about to open the door. He had a black baseball cap on so I couldn't see his head or face. And of course why would I open the door for someone who has their hands behind their back...I'm not that crazy.

Anyway he moved his head a little so I could see it was him. He walked in and said "I brought you some chocolates!" I was surprised seeing as how this isn't a regular occurrence. Next he pulls out a bottle of wine. A big deal for him because he is not a fan of wine. I was surprised at this point wondering what the heck he was here for.

I went to put the wine in the fridge and when I turned around he was on one knee. It was very sweet.

He did a wonderful job picking out the ring. He is so good with jewelry.

The pictures aren't the best, my camera is old. But I tried to get a good shot.

If anyone has any wedding/engagement/marriage advice I'm sure I'll be needing it so bring it on!
