Well hello all, Ethan is doing well, we have our first, event tomarow that we have been helping plan , here is bradford, a man named johnathan howard is runny across canada to raise awarness for Autism, And we have been helping plane, it soo its beena bizy week, but i finaly got a respit worker but i dont know how well it will work, she is a very bizy women so i gess we will jsu have too see how it goes. Ethan spech is commin along well. hes starting to watch alot of movies and he realy usderstand what is going on , i know this because he comments on things happaning , like he will say no dont do that, o you funny dag for 101 dalmations lol hes getting a personality and becomming sucha little man, im so proud of how far he has come, well have a good long weekend, nikki and ethan

A part of me...

I have been fearing for a while that we would part our ways soon. That time came yesterday. Our situation did seem bleak as I have mentioned in my posts. It is so hard to for me to sleep knowing that she and I are no longer... it is also hard for me when I am awake because she is always on my mind. I made promises that I'd make it better, but the way things are now, its common sense for us to split our ways. All I could do and think about last night was mention her name. Its weird though because it has come full circle. I remember calling her name over and over before I confessed my love for her. Now I am doing it because she and I are no longer...

I don't know whats next. My heart is shattered in a million pieces, my mind restless and my body unwilling to do what its supposed to do. I guess this is what they call heartbreak.

I thought I wouldn't cry. I thought it was nothing. Apparently, its getting to me all to quickly. For the first time in months, I found myself clingly tightly to those stuffed lions that she gave to me. The red jacket which she gave to me in a past birthday, it kept coming to my mind, I should cherish it. But it really got me when I was suddenly clinging unto one of those cute lions. I may sound crazy but I was imagining and hoping it was her. I kissed it and I said I was sorry.

I thought watching the rest of the season of Battlestar Galactica would take my mind away. But it didn't. I wonder whats next. I wonder... I know I was the one being immature. Those promises that I don't know if I shouldn't have made.I was certain, but then again I could be clouded by my emotions. I always have I guess.

She's told me many times before that there might be someone better than her. Because of our racial/ethnic backgrounds, her parents and whole family didn't like me. I wanted to so desperately prove them wrong. Now I can't do a single thing. I've said in the past that I didn't like the nationality I was born into. Now, I'm hating it even more.

With all that said, what can a single person like me do? I know its God's plans. I know this was supposed to happen because of my lax decisions. I had it coming. That I know and I don't blame you Lord. I blame myself. I blame this foolish child wandering and wandering despite you calling me all this time. I'm sorry, please forgive me.

So what happens now? I was in ths shadows before, watching her, and I am back in the shadows again, still watching her. I'm alone again and contrary to what I thought when I was alone before, I thought I would feel empty. But all I am feeling is sadness, loneliness and the knowledge that will forever haunt me that I lost a great and wonderful girl because of my blind optimism.

RIght now, all I can say is her name. Every thought, every spoken word of her name. There is nothing else I can do right now but sulk and continue thinking of the mistakes that I've done. I keep telling myself that we will be back together. But thats just my stupid optimism again. I know I have to do something better than. I realize I really never did had a goal and making one right now is too late but I still need to do it.

I miss you my love. For what its worth, I never stopped thinking about you. Not a single day. Though I did promise we'd be together, I foolishly thought things would work out. Apparently they didn't. I don't blame you for anything, and I never will. I will never hate you so please stop apologizing. I'm a man and I should take it like a man. Right now however, I am a little boy who has lost his way, crying and searching for the one the one single thing that made me whole this time. I love you.

And so with that, this may be the last entry on this blog. To all those who have been here, I thank you for visiting. Your comments are treasures to me. Even with the few posts made in the past 2 years, I thank you.

So what happens next? I both know and don't know...

How far will I go for love?

I taste salty tears. I don't know what's happening. I fell to the ground. My head, slammed onto the floor. I taste blood. Red and furious. I can't feel my heart. It's no longer there, no longer in my chest. I'm trembling. I'm so scared. I'm terrified. Afraid of losing. I can't lose anyone now. Especially him.

I don't know how to breathe anymore.

I don't know how to stop this tears anymore. I just want him here. Just to put his arms around me. I wanna feel his presence. Just that.

I can't breathe, I don't know how.

The Ultimate Risk

What is the Ultimate Risk?
Is it hanging off a cliff without safety gear?
Is it swanning through a down and out part of town dressed head to toe in diamonds?
Is it emotional, allowing yourself to be vulnerable with another person?

What is risk? I think this has to be considered before one decides on the ultimate risk. I would categorise 'risk' as something that changes your situation, and it has a certain negative conotation which makes one nervous of taking a risk.
Some would say however, that without risk nothing can work. Nothing changes, life becomes static.
So it is not risk that holds the negative idea, but the magnitude of the risk we take.
How do you decided on the magnitude of risk? Or is it a simply instictual knowledge? After all, we take minor risks every day, leaving the house, running down stairs, crossing the road. These are not generally considered risks though, they are merely part of everyday life.
A bigger risk is one that you know has the power to change your life. Whether this is gambling 10,000 pounds in one go, or saying 'I Love You' first, it is a definate risk. It involves other peoples, and often, luck. These things are tricksy, they are improbable. You cannot know what will happen, however sure you are, the element of probability can kick in and change it.

I have taken a risk.

I have been with my boyfriend over 6 months. I decided a while ago that I love him. However, I haven't been able to say it, I always miss the moment and I feel he wouldn't take me seriously if I just let it slip out.
We had a wonderful day yesterday, hanging out at the beach and having a picnic in the park.
Later in the evening, when we were just about to go to sleep, he assured me of his commitment to me. That even though we aren't one of those hot and heavy couples, that was how we both like it, and it was great.
I could have said it then, but I didn't. We were sleepy and I didn't want to make it intense.
This morning, as I waved him off, I thought about it. I showered, I dressed, I checked my emails. On my homepage, my horoscope suggested taht today I was feeling emotionally expressive and that today would be an excellent day to tell someone you loved them.
So I wrote a long, casual text about what I was doing, how great yesterday had been and how I hoped his day would be good too. I signed off with 'Love from me'.
Now, I realise thats not a full-on 'I Love You' risk, but I felt it would be impersonal to say it in a text and I won't be seeing him again until Monday.

Now I await the reply. I wonder if he noticed the unusual ending? Whether he noticed and didn't grasp the significance of what I was saying behind the text? Whether he has even got it yet.

Introducing my mum to Vox!

I often post photos of Beth and Kathleen on my blog, but I've never had the pleasure of posting photos of my mum. <3 She is the reason for my being and is the source of all my creativity. She has taught me and pushed me in amazing new directions...

I took this photo of my mom this last weekend. She wanted some pretty photos taken of her around the house with all of her beautiful flowers and trees to give away to some special family members. (She's a fantastic and talented gardener.) I was happy to help her with this project, and I especially loved editing all of the photos. I'll try to post those at a later time.

Mom, I'm sure you'll see this since you read my blog every now and then. When you do, just know that I love you!

A Ghost I'm not Haunted by

Josh, my boyfriend, got me a ghost plant today.

He happens to work at a plant store - Nature's Own - and I saw a ghost plant there one day, and commented on how much I admired it. They really are cool plants -

He put a tag in it, as you can see, that said "I love you." He handed it to me and said, "I got you an I love you plant!"
I can't lie to you, I thought it was the most ridiculously cute thing any guy has ever thought to do for me.

Thank God it's a succulent, and therefore easy to take care of.
I just hope I can grow it to the size of the beautiful one I saw in the plant shop.
